It is sometimes an appropriate response to reality to go insane.
– Philip K. Dick
So at 6am this morning when I got home from my first night out in a looooong time (I decided I’d gained too many brain cells during swotvac so I had to go out and kill some…it’s a cyclical process, really) I couldn’t sleep so I decided to jump on the, err, saying words bandwagon*? (is it a meme now? idk) anyway apologies for the ratty hair, weird lighting and filthy bedroom...
Having a rangry night
Had a Biology exam yesterday which I was super ready to do amazingly in and I think I only did okay. Had a Chemistry exam today which I know I did absolutely shite in (considering I didn’t answer like half the extended-response questions) and I have a Physics exam tomorrow morning which I just know I’m going to fail dismally (WHY is Physics on the GAMSAT??? It has no relevance to...

SATC2 takes everything that I hold dear as a woman and as a human—working hard, contributing to society, not being an entitled cunt like it’s my job—and rapes it to death with a stiletto that costs more than my car.

My 40-something boss Samantha: Hey Marco, me and Alex are going to the disco tonight, wanna come?
Marco: You're going to ...the disco?
Me: Err, sure, yeah...the disco
Marco: Which one?
Sam: Eleven
Kieran *surreptitiously*: Seven
Sam: Oh yeah, Seven. I knew it was a number...
Marco: 7/11?
Sam: Yeah, I really want a hotdog
John: Actually, vodka in Slurpees tastes really good
Sam: You kids these days, so crazy.
Fuck you, family.
I’m so sick of being my family’s scapegoat. More specifically, my mum and my sister. (my dad’s pretty great). Today was that horrible day called Mother’s Day which always seems to end in screaming matches and/or tears (actually, that sounds like everyday in my house at the moment…). So I came up with an idea for her present (a handbag) and my sister, after telling me...
Like Venice
Today I visited the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks and jumped in.
I was very certainly not supposed to do that.
Lake Union is separated from the Puget Sound by a waterway. In this waterway there is a lock system to negotiate a change in water levels. I’m not positive because I didn’t read the placards, but I imagine this is necessary because otherwise the canal would be a currented river...
